I took a while to learn about what it took for me to be an IT contractor, with the accountancy, insurance, etc. SG ticked all the boxes I needed, after learning what I wanted, including all 3 insurances, company set up, etc. for my ease and reassasurance, including IR35 checks. I narrowed it down to 3 competent accountancy companies, SG were slightly more expensive but the presentation and simplicity of summary on the website simply sold it to me, and then each conversation on the phone were positive, knowledgable, patient, and therefore satisfying in knowing I made the right choice. Excel files were simple to fill out and very accurate in checks, editing my mistakes if needed, and summarising clearly why. I thought they were brilliant. I feel I may be moving back to a permanent role, which is a shame. If I do return to contracting, I will definitely use SG, and they deserve more positive reviews to reassure people you are making the right choice!Hope this review helped!
Before using this company, please be aware that your accounts will mostly be dealt with by admin staff, not the accountant you initially meet. It takes weeks of chasing to get the simplest of tasks completed, and even then the work has to be checked as mistakes are regular with no invesigations made on complaints. This is not the company to use if you are busy and need professionals who can act on initiative with a sense if timing.
