Fab meal, and is quite unusual to see a fish and chip shop with an eat in option. The food was fantastic and the service was even better! We got there about 4 which was just in time as it go extremely busy after. If you plan on eating in on a week day, do not get there at 5!
The food is good and chips are lovely.However the reason for the middle rating is they seem to literally cook to order so even the simplest of orders take 20+ minutes which is too long for a fish & chip shop unless you're ordering something uncommon. Keeping a few sausages, pies and fish hot and available during the lunch period surely can't hit the bottom line or food quality that much. Therefore, it's not good for for a lunch break if you're short on time and also the long wait is not obvious when you place your order. However, if you have time to wait or phone ahead to order the food is decent and the staff are friendly so I'm certainly not trying to say you should avoid the place.
