Close enough to everything and always seems to have spaces, even when everything else is full
It's great that there's somewhere to park up a motorhome after a late ferry arrival in Portsmouth on your way north. Having said that, it's not quiet until midnight and then the early morning workers start rocking up about 6am. All that said I'm still grateful the council have opened it to motorhomes.

Well sized spaces and a brisk 5 minute walk into the town centre make it an attractive option as an alternative for the park and ride (currently charging 7 pounds per day parking). Good weekly and monthly rates available as well. There can be issues with card payments in the ticket machine. But it does support payments by mobile phone app as well.
Great place to have a break. Shops nearby, and public conveniences close at hand.
