The other reviews are pretty fair... Weirdly, the first time I ever used the shop (the day I first moved to Winchester), the lady (the Indian lady, who seemingly owns it) was really friendly and chatty, but every other time she has been very offish. Last time I went in she made no effort to be welcoming and didn't even say thank you. She doesn't always open and close at the times advertised, which is hugely frustrating. There are also times when she doesn't turn half the lights on, so the rear section of the shop is completely dark (I have had to use the torch on my phone to look for products before). The shop itself is relatively well stocked and has some decent products at there at usual convenience prices. There is another lady who works in there who is always lovely, but I don't know what days/hours she works. If only she could take over full-time!
I have never meet such a jobs worth before in my life. The people skills of the troll that works there is unbelievable. No customer service skills and if she had them they must have left the building years ago. Will never be going to the ghettos of Olivers battery post office ever again and if you do good luck to you with the vile, unfriendly, unhelpful troll.
The rudest service Ive ever experienced.I came to use the post office facilities.Never visited the shop before.I entered the shop and stood in the doorway looking around for the post office counter. The only attendant was stacking shelves right by the door and didnt acknowledge me.I located the counter and was stood there waiting for 5 minutes without any acknowledgement when another customer walked in and stood at the cash till. The Attendant served him immediately and STILL didnt acknowledge Me - customer even said to her that Id been waiting and I should be served first but she ignored him. Then in walked a post man who stood behind me in the queue and she served him first! Without acknowledging me.When I question her customer service she then throws the race card in my face.Utterly Ridiculous. Nasty, rude woman. I Do not recommend this place and nor do a lot of other people it would seem. 1 Big BOOOOOOOO
I've only ever dealt with the lady who works at this store, and on numerous occasions she has proven to be vile and obnoxious. Its amazing that she still has a job being such a horrible little goblin, who doesn't understand how to run a off license. We're going to send our packages elsewhere, because one more encounter with that jobsworth oxygen thief and I'll probably snap.
Appalling service. The woman who runs the place was packing up at 4pm even though the website says that it was supposed to close at 8pm. She wasnt happy to see me with my three parcels and immediately started whining that she had to switch everything on. Then, whilst serving me, she said to me - why didnt you come in the morning? I couldnt believe it and only bit my tongue because I had my 2 y.o. with me. Not only that, one of the parcels went missing. Coincidence? Avoid by all means.
