I am impressed. Shopping centres have a tendency to have more and more empty shops due to the influx of online shopping. The Brooks are using empty shops in a variety of ways to serve and entertain their customers. A ping pong hall in one place and UNIT 12 is turning into an art gallery indefinitely. That is until a proper tenant wants to rent it. The first art show was of works by the artist Markus Thonett. Currently Tessa Thonett is showing her portraits and further exhibitions are planned.
Small shopping mall you won't get lost in. Could do with a make over or start again and something needs to be done to encourage more shops to open.
A little bit sparse and lacking in shops but hey the rates are probably really high. Would be good to see it revitalised again. Be careful of the parking. Though convenient. It closes early. Made the mistake of not reading the closing time properly and ended up staying for the night because I couldn't get my car out. My own fault but the car was well secured overnight. Came back in the morning to take the car and got charged less than a fiver. Bit of a relief.
Tired centre, needs bringing into the 21st century2 stars awardedOctober 2018The shopping centre has been refurbished, the former open entrances are now able to be closed. The cleanliness has now vastly improved as the roosting pigeons no longer have access to the upper level ( non shopping ) . New shops have been added, TKMAX for example are already trading with others to follow. When fully open may merit 4 stars
Very pleasant building with good coffee area and comfortable seating. Sad a few shops empty, need more people shopping and less in line to bring back the shops and a community that communicates. Enjoyed our day shopping in the town.
