My husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay at 34 The Rope Walk. We loved the flat which was immaculate, spacious, modern and so convenient to the town centre. We found the beds extremely comfortable and the towels were so fluffy. It was nice to come back to after a busy day out exploring and to cook if we wanted to and watch a good movie. The main bathroom was lovely although we found the other en-suite shower room slightly damp and beginning to attract mould. Both fans in each bathroom did not seem to be working. I am sure that this can be rectified quite easily. I liked the fact that we were on the ground floor and it was nice to look out on the river. The other really great thing was that we were able, everyday, to walk out of our flat and walk into Canterbury through the lovely West Gate gardens along the river. If we stay again in Canterbury we would definitely try to stay here again for the location but also for the lovely flat.

A delightful cottage in an idyllic setting. We were greeted by our hosts and everything was perfect! A beautiful welcome hamper of home-made and locally sourced produce made the arrival feel very special too. The cottage is exceptionally well appointed and has everything one might need for a break away from home, making self-catering more pleasurable than in many holiday homes. The area is rich in activities but the setting is so perfect one may not wish to leave!

We spent 10 days in Hamilton House and had a wonderful experience. The apartment is large, bright, charming, comfortable, well equipped, well located and a delightful place to live while on holiday. We hated to leave! Thank you! Kathy and Al from San Francisco.

Perfect location for exploring the Sussex region. The cottage was top quality, very tastefully decorated and equipped with all the facilities required. Our hosts, Penny and Alan were on hand and had left a lovely welcoming hamper, with chocs; wine; fruit and cakes as well as the normal tea; coffee; milk. The cottage is nicely secluded from other accommodation and backs onto a wild common so nature is literally at your back door. We loved it and would definitely return. Many thanks Penny & Alan.

Lovely roomy cottage in Kent countryside with friendly and helpful owners who let us check-out later. Lots to do nearby - vineyards, artsy things in Canterbury, great for country walks and pubs. Only downsides were not enough washing up tabs / no surface spray, and slightly inconsistent correspondence with booking company.
