This really is a hidden gem. I must stress at this point DO NOT USE SATNAV it will take you completely out of your way and down some very tight roads. Use directions on David and Suzanne's web site.We were very warmly welcomed by David, given the tour of the WC, CWD fresh water etc.We were treated to some fresh laid eggs for tea.David gave us some extremely useful information about the area and the best walks. Once we set the motorhome up we went for a walk to explore the area. We were extremely lucky to have a fantastic sunny afternoon in which to absorb the beauty of the area. There were also more photo opportunities than you could shake a stick at. There is so little light pollution that the stars in the night sky were more brilliant than we have ever seen.In the morning we saw 2 red deer in the adjoining field. It was such a joy being there and would highly recommend the site to anyone, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed here for a night before a course in Overton to avoid a morning slog around the M25. Wonderful site with a crystal clear stream flowing along one boundary with a field beyond. Awoke to find a bunch of cows having a paddle while munching the vegetation. I live in the country but this was quiet even for me. No traffic. The odd train on the line to Southampton. What sounded like a Chinook was doing some night training after dark. The toilet hut is wonderful with a wash basin too. A splendid array of brochures and information that if I was on holiday would be very useful as guides often miss interesting places to visit.
