Had to go here today for an MRI scan. My wife and I were very impressed on how clean it was. At reception we were met by a lovely lady who put us in the right direction for my scan. Lady there put me at my ease and was very efficient. If a visit to a hospital can be described as good this was it. Top marks to them all at this lovely hospital.

I have enquired for a gynecological visit+smear test and ovarian ultrasound as a routine for cancer prevention that we in Italy do every year because we do the real cancer prevention. I was willing to pay around 250 i Was asked for 600!! Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Is this the cancer prevention you care about for women? How many women must die before you realize that breast and gynecological tests must be carried out every year? In Italy we are really far ahead about this. I think UK must learn from us. Sorry but I had to tell you how I feel. Cinzia
Not a good experience: my wife waited all day in a room that was an absolute oven due to a heat wave, without being allowed to eat or drink, or even be told when she would be seen to! This eventually occurred at 7 in the evening after which they then suggested she would need to stay in over night even though she was a day-case!Then after having had an initial discussion about anaesthetics, when it came to administering it, this was not taken into account even though she suffers from low blood pressure - we have since been told this should have been a spinal because of that reason!The only good point was the excellent nurses. Very friendly and helpful. Overall, a bad experience which could have largely been improved simply through some management.
