I have great memories of this place from when I was younger. Finally got to go back recently, and it was just as fascinating and beautiful as I remembered it. It is very small, but so full of history. So well worth going and having a look.
Alas was unable to see what this venue had to offer due to long steep steps up to the small museum housed in side Being disabled. Not the best hazard to contend with if with a baby in a pram either.

Hidden away at the top of the high street is the entrance door on the West gate to this great little museum.Missed by most people that visit Winchester.Highly recommended that you spend 30 minutes exploring this fascinating place and learning more about the history of the city.
