A fabulous lunch here today with my husband. Ambience great, menu printed for myself without shell fish so I could choose my meal with ease. Staff helpful and friendly. Had my first Dover Sole...was fantastic. We will visit again.
The restaurant delivered to its promise. It isn't trying to be a top end fine dining establishment and it lived up to this positioning well.The food was great and the wine list with prices between 30 and 50 was great....A relaxing and fun night...
Had high expectations due to the name and where the prices went along., sadly the rest didn't.For a fish and chip/pizza hut style it's OK if prices matched. Sadly, it was noisy, drafty and not good table.Fish Soup was OK but nothing special and prawns over deep fried.Turbot (40.00) was an old fish probably frozen and unfrozen many times. We know turbot and that was not good tasting fish. Curry was OK but the green beans on the side were old and tough. Sweet was nice and wine was amazing. Service didn't listen to customers requestsWe won't be back here I am afraid
We had a really pleasant dinner at Rick Stein. The quality of food was really good. Everything cooked to perfection, and the staff were really careful to our dietary requirements. The atmosphere was also really nice. We visited on a weekday, though it was quite busy, we didn't require any prior reservation. I think this might be one of the best sea-food restaurants in Hampshire.
