Great food using high quality local ingredients. Charming dining rooms with very good, friendly service. Very good value for money, as long as you stay clear of the terrible and overpriced wine list.
Lovely restaurant. Pity we coudnt get table near the fire. Travelling though time. Nice food and service.
We had such a lovely lunch here. We were a group of 15 people with a range of dietary needs and the team at Chesil Rectory could not have been more helpful! Wonderful food, very flexible to meet our needs and professional service. Highly recommend.
Wonderful Christmas Eve setting. This was a bit of a hassle to reserve, as they needed a 10pp deposit to secure that reservation and I had to do fiscal gymnastics to accomplish that, but the manager was VERY responsive and we made it happen. At dinner, the staff was just wonderful...the building is as quaint and historic as a place could possibly be. Christmas Eve dinner (45pp) felt magical there. The atmosphere was romantic and charming to the max. Two of us had the beef, which was superb. I had the pork shank, which was ok...and the pork fat was nothing special; essentially just a garnish. The mashed potatoes were, however, delightful and the desserts were enjoyable. In the end, wed do it again...and take friends there, too!
Great place. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Food and wine excellent. Will definitely return soon.
