Lovely and cosy, never thought of visiting untill it was recommended, but glad I went, it's a hidden gem really. Delicious Sunday roasts. They have some good night's put on too, pie, quiz, Morning brunch evening cocktails.
Great ambience and decor. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The only reason it was not five stars was the main courses for the Christmas dinner should have had vegetables. What we had was great but we left with room to spare.
I enjoyed an evening out here with friends. The pub has a lovely vibe, with fairly subdued lighting and quirky decor. As it was Pie Night, two of us had pie with a choice of vegetables and gravy, with a pint of beer or lager included. The staff were very friendly, but I would have liked the service to be a bit sharper. There seemed to be a fair bit of hanging about waiting to be shown to our table, waiting to be served etc. However, we had a very jolly time, and I would definitely recommend SJT.
Great lunchtime birthday group meal from work. Nice good value food. Choice of good beer. The upstairs party room is a good place for a another group visit. Will be back
