Nice pub by wow when it's closing time they turn the lights off to get you out. Unfriendly but nice surroundings.
We really loved our meal at William Walker. Firstly, if you go, read about the story of William Walker. It is an amazing testimony to what a human can achieve and any pub named after him should be worthy of the name. For that reason it was great to see the diver paraphernalia up.We visited on a Sunday with 2 kids and the in laws. I think there was a huge party upstairs and the staff were working hard to keep everyone happy. However they we infinitely patient and friendly and the service was fab and the food was one of the better roasts I have had. I would consider going again.
Always loved this placed, hadn't been since they had a refit. Actually prefferred the old decor. But service was still good as ever. A nice place to drink
Good fish and chips though my wife's soup, while tasty, was accompanied by a slice of dry brown bread, with butter, instead of a roll or something more substantial on the bread front. Good selection of beer!
Came upon this little gem, looking for something quick for lunch, after being told by three eateries in the street that they had stopped serving food for lunch. Its was about 2:30pmLovely welcome, great food.Could not understand why it wasnt full to the rafters! This is a little gem of pub! In a great location too. Wishing you success with your venture.
