I visited Mucky Duck with the husband on a thursday night.It is a really relaxed sports focused pub, for our visit they had the biathlon on in the background.We both ordered southern fried chicken burgers, there was a mixup and they brought cheese burgers. However this was dealt with and 10 mins later we had the correct meal.The food was lovely and we were happy with the service, would visit again and give them another chance.
One of my favourite pubs. Really unique and magical interior. Reminds me of something from a Potter book. But can get very congested in busy days due to its popularity.
Busy, trendy, with a traditional feel bar coming in, cosy snook round the back, sitting out doors. It's a matter of personal taste and whilst the bar, the wood, the cosiness are all appealing - parts of this venue have tried to be too trendy, basic, utilitarian - stark. This place is at odds with my view that if the toilets are smart it's a good place to be. I'll say no more. Some people may like that quirky twist.
Our favorite sports pub in Winchester. The whole farm is represented from tap: on top of Mucky Duck bitter, you can have an Old Golden Hen, drink a TEA from the Hogs Back or a tasty Goose IPA.
Fine big pub near railway station. More of a locals place than many in central Winchester. Very nice visit. This is a big sports pub, so on big football or rugby nights it will be full of fans.
