Just spent two comfortable nights here, excellent breakfast sets you up for a day's exploring. A 10 minute walk to the cathedral and an easy 30 - 40 minutes drive to Salisbury made it easy to visit both Christmas markets. Yvonne was very friendly and helpful with local information. We highly recommend it as it was one of the best small hotels we have stayed in
Wonderful chilled out stay at the Giffard Hotel. A very last minute booking which they accommodated beautifully. Easy access to.the centre and a lovely breakfast to.go with that, rates are also cheaper than the majority in Winchester

Wait staff was not very cheerful and had a massive argument at breakfast in the back room. The house and view are lovely and the location is great. Kind of disappointed to see boxed cereal and juice at the breakfast for the cost of the room, I would have expected fresh juice and more local items.
Delightful guesthouse, friendly staff, and the first time I've ever had a room with two bathrooms. Very convenient for Winchester sightseeing. Highly recommended.
