Cosy modern pub feel, good selection of drinks including craft beer on tap. We visited on a Sunday night and it was a lovely place for a weekend wind down drink and a catch up.
Enjoyed our food, and Theo our dog was allowed to join us in the designated area. He also had a few pieces of my lamb, yum yum. Prices pretty good, service good, atmosphere good, 4 stars
Arrived 10 minuets early, was left standing for the restaurant to open without being offered a drink at the bar. Just told we are not open yet. We were the first sitting so could have easily been seated.Pleasant staff at the table, food OK for the price.Toilets need attention and the hand dryer not working. Would I return probably not.
We stayed here for a few days in September and our room was clean and cheerful with plenty of space, storage and seating. Noisy one or two nights but we were at the front so late revellers passing by from the university! Good menu and breakfasts good too, all with excellent service. Can even have breakfast in your room for no extra charge! Excellent position right next to the Cathedral and town centre. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit this area.
Nicely located opposite the museum and cathedral and offering a varied menu ranging from sandwiches and snacks to 3 course meal. Sandwiches are reasonably priced and generously sized but some main courses seem a bit pricey for a pub lunch. Drinks also high end with a large coke/ice coming in just shy of 4. Friendly and helpful staff, although we were initially only offered the higher priced main meal menu and had to ask for the sandwich menu, which we had fortunately seen displayed outside. An enjoyable lunch in a well maintained pub with nice atmosphere
