A nice place for a weekend getaway. Surprisingly imaginative food in the Brasserie and decent value. Service is impeccable. Don't use the hotel parking (15) as there is a pay and display one right in front of the hotel front door (2.5). Save yourself a tenner and award all the wonderful personnel that make you feel at home.

Stayed here as a Christmas present to each other during December on a bed, breakfast and dinner deal. Staff very pleasant as is the decor, nice purple downstairs, plenty of seating in the bar where you can eat or there is the Brasserie restaurant. Meal service a little slow but nothing to worry about. Good selection of food in both bar and restaurant. Breakfast is a plentiful buffet. Rooms comfortable although the shower water temperature was hit and miss. A classic double had a super king bed. There is a fridge and a really good hairdryer. All very clean. If you are staying you have use of the leisure facilities, small pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi. Seating round the pool. Its good as no children under 13years allowed. Didn't use the beauty salon.
Only used the spa service so no reflection on the rest of the hotel. But went as a birthday treat, never been sparked by a nail curing machine before... normal apparently but new one on me! Cant say the staff were welcoming or friendly either, not the sort of service Id expect at a standard nail salon let alone a nice hotel spa! Got colour around my nail, couldve done it better myself at home!
Very nice hotel, friendly staff and good location. Would highly recommend. Mine and Sarah's favourite hotel, we always stay here when having nights away in Winchester.
