Very nice old building very conveniently situated in the town centre. Restaurant is lovely and the food well priced for hotel restaurant pricing. Would recommend a stay to anyone.
Stayed at the Winchester Royal hotel for two nights. Stayed in the Hyde Suite which was a lovely room overlooking the garden. Very spacious, tasteful decor and very clean. Situated in the heart of Winchester, just minutes from the shops and Cathedral. Would definitely recommend staying at this lovely hotel.
The Winchester Royal is in a very good location with only a short walk to the shops and cathedral which meant we didn't need to use our car at all during our two day stay. Car parking costs 10 per night. My first impression when we walked into the entrance hall and small reception area was that it needed a bit of tlc but the rest of the hotel was very pleasant and we had a lovely bedroom overlooking the garden. The garden restaurant was nicely furnished and there was a good choice of food at the breakfast buffet. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very quiet street and we would definitely stay here again.
Stayed at The Winchester Royal to visit the Christmas Market. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great location for all the shops and the cathedral. Breakfast was lovely, excellent choice. Bar meals were very good, especially the Asian sharing platter. The room was lovely and clean; beds were just right. Excellent complimentary toiletries. Staff friendly and helpful. On checking out the bill was incorrect but very quickly rectified. Will be visiting Winchester again and will be booking a stay here.
A charming hotel situated in the heart of Winchester City. Two minutes walk from high Street. Staff are very pleasant and rooms comfortable. They have a car park and an over flow car park. I always stay there when in Winchester. Food is good.
