It was ideally located but the hotel needs a revamp. The rooms still look the same as they were when we got engaged 13 years ago. Staff were very slow at replenishing the breakfast in the morning and there was quite a queue.The room was very clean and tidy and there were adequate facilities but bed a little hard for my tastes

Perfect spot. Centre of the city with parking (12 for 24hours is more than reasonable in this wonderful Hampshire city). Our room also had a view of the cathedral from the window. Breakfast option also available at a reasonable cost.
I hate leaving low reviews but no think it's important to note. Heating is so loud can't sleep. Parking is a bit of a joke. After paying for parking was asked to move because of how the cars are all jam packed outside. Carpet is horrible.. Room is generally tatty. For the money I spent I just expected more. One good pint however is the location as it is central and also the staff are friendly an welcoming
A great hotel but with a seemingly slightly dated, but not uncomfortable, decor. Bit of a seventies and eighties feel to it. This is more than made up for by it's great location beside the cathedral and the great staff working there.
